Mixed use building
The site is located in Tel Aviv, at the corner of Kibbutz Galuiot and Heil HaShirion. It is a parcel of a plot that had been chosen as study project. The building was to include 25% office space, and 75% apartments.
As technology advances, many people prefer to do their work at home. This has its pros, but also cons: difficulty to stay focused on the job, lack of space to meet with customers, and mainly lack of suitable space.
I started with an analysis of the site: access way, neighboring buildings, lines of sight, open spaces, and the geometry of the site. The idea was integration of office spaces and lodging places, without the usual separation between the categories. I planned integration by way of levels: one floor will serve for dwelling, and the other for offices.
The two levels will have different entrances, and separate circulation, with option of linkage in case of necessity
